Passionate Hillbillies: debut album of the Canadian roots band. Folk is no longer an issue for a few insiders, but has long since gained a majority. At least in North America, where the Roots movement is attracting more and more people. The Dead South come from Regina in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The music of the four men (75% of them with long beards) is a mix of bluegrass, folk and rock.
